Watch Sailor Moon Character Designer Hisashi Kagawa Live Draw Sailor Jupiter

Hisashi Kagawa was in Guangzhou, China last month to promote an art exhibition. The Sailor Moon and Tiger Mask W character designer used the opportunity to show his live drawing skills to visitors. He drew the fan-favorite character Sailor Jupiter, a task he admitted was difficult for a few logistical reasons. Namely, drawing while standing up is difficult in itself and he had to watch to make sure his elbow didn't hit the nearby speaker.

Kagawa wrote that his waist hurt horribly after all was said and done. Someone at the event filmed the live drawing and sped it up. Kagawa shared the video on Twitter on Thursday.

Kagawa is well known for his work on the Sailor Moon films but he's also contributed character designs to a more recent magical girl series beginning with the Fresh Pretty Cure series in 2009. He also worked on Toriko, Glass Mask, She, The Ultimate Weapon, and Kamikaze Kaitō Jeanne.
