Voice Actors Chika Anzai, Junya Enoki Reveal They're Related

Earlier this week, voice actors Chika Anzai and Junya Enoki teased that they would have an announcement on A&G On P radio program "Chō! A&G+." Anzai hosts the "Muyrō Anzai Chika Ichikaba Chika" segment on the program and Enoki appeared as a guest for the August 21 recording.

Anzai's official Twitter account teased on Sunday that there would be a "sudden announcement" during the program about the two voice actors and emphasized that they had worked together on numerous projects. Anzai and Enoki are co-stars on the currently airing Grand Blue anime series and previously acted together in Scum's Wish. The tweet included an image of Anzai smiling with Enoki giving a 'V' sign in a photo.

Fans immediately anticipated that there would be a marriage announcement between the two voice actors, but the truth was much more familial. It turns out that Anzai and Enoki are cousins. Enoki shared another image of himself and Anzai together on Twitter on Tuesday.

Enoki's father is Anzai's mother's brother. In other words, Enoki's dad is Anzai's blood-related uncle and Anzai's mother is Enoki's blood-related aunt.

Besides Grand Blue, Enoki is currently starring in We Rent Tsukumogami as Seiji. He's scheduled to appear in next season's Kaze ga Tsuyoku Fuiteiru as Jōta Kizuki, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind as Pannacotta Fugo, and Mobile Suit Gundam Narrative as Jona Bashta. Anzai's future projects after Grand Blue have yet to be announced.
