posted on by Amanda Whalen
Voice actress Maya Okamoto (Emma Sheen in Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam, Orihime in Sakura Wars, Harumi in The Irresponsible Captain Tylor) recorded a CD for a classic '90s anime that never actually existed, and the key visual, drawn by Silent Möbius creator Kia Asamiya, has just been released.
The fictional anime is titled Raijin Hakkei -ZANAM- Femme Fatale Unmei no Onna, or "Thunder God Series 8 -ZANAM- Femme Fatale of Destiny," and its soundtrack CD will include three tracks. The first song, "Rise and Fall," is the theme song for the show. It was arranged by Kei Katō, has lyrics written by RUCCA, and is sung by Okamoto.
The second track, "The Paleness of the Stars," is a short drama recording. Okamoto voices the protagonist, Kanon J. Kusanagi, Shoko Arai voices the character Chantelle Charmante, and Eiichirō Tokumoto voices the character Timmy Omiyama Tenjin. The narration is done by Baron Yamazaki.
The third track, "Sound of the Wind," is background music for the fictional anime. It is sung by Okamoto, who also wrote the lyrics, and was arranged by Kei Katō.
The CD will be sold at the dojin music event M3 on April 30 at the "pen&voice galaxy" booth. It will retail for 2,000 yen (about US$18).
