New Cardcaptor Sakura Merchandise Includes Heart-Shaped Cushions, Towels, and More

CLAMP's classic series Card Captor Sakura is getting a new line of merchandise, including heart cushions, microfiber mini towels, desk mats, and clear writing boards. The items are being produced by the Japanese media company Broccoli and will be released in anime stores across Japan beginning on May 27.

The heart cushions are 410 x 430 x 150mm and priced at 4,000 yen (USD $36) plus tax. Only one variety of heart cushion will be sold, but the front and back will have different images, shown below.

Five varieties of microfiber mini towels will be sold. They are 200 x 200mm and priced at 500 yen (USD $4.50) plus tax.

Four different rubber desk mats are being released. The mats are 370 x 520 x 2mm and priced at 3,000 yen (USD $27) plus tax.

Four varieties of clear writing boards will be sold. The writing boards are 250 x 182mm and priced at 400 yen (USD $3.60) plus tax.

The new Card Captor Sakura anime, which will be based off of the Card Captor Sakura Clear Card-hen (Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card Arc) sequel manga, has an anticipated release date of January 2018. The Cardcaptor Sakura manga celebrated its 20th anniversary in December 2016.

Other recent Card Captor Sakura merchandise has included hair ornaments, a clow book and cards, and a wand hair dryer.
