Chihayafuru Creator Draws Jacket Art for Perfume's Live-Action Film Theme

The creator of the Chihayafuru manga series drew the band Perfume for the release of their single FLASH. The album contains the titular track used as the theme song for the Chihayafuru: Kami no Ku and Chihayafuru: Shimo no Ku live-action films.
Yuki Suetsugu and Perfume are mutual fans of one another. Perfume requested Suetsugu to draw the illustration like the first manga volume cover if FLASH was a manga, and she readily agreed. After Perfume saw the image, they were elated, remarking that they looked really cute.
The single will be released on March 16 followed by Perfume's next full-length album Cosmic Explorer on April 6.
Manga artist Arina Tanemura recently drew the album cover for the Idolish 7 single GOOD NIGHT AWESOME and Gantz manga creator Hiroya Oku drew album jacket artwork for singer Seiko Ōmori's new album TOKYO BLACK HOLE.
