Award-Winning One Piece Kabuki Play Inspires Figure, Official Merch

The award-winning Kabuki stage play based on Eiichiro Oda's One Piece manga was a hit with both critics and fans during its run last year. So much so, the play returned this year for runs in both Osaka and Fukuoka.
MegaHouse's Portrait of Pirate (P.O.P.) figure line is commemorating the performance with a 1/8-scale Luffy figure wearing his Kabuki regalia from the Osaka performances. The Kabuki Edition figure costs 16,799 yen (US$148) and will ship in July.
The Osaka performances are running until March 25 at the Shochiku-za theater. Official goods are also being sold. They include a Kumadori (Kabuki stage make-up) Luffy Bear, a candy-filled purse, pop-up card, woodblock print, golden blotting paper, canned cookies, t-shirts, metal pins, hand towels, furoshiki, and character artwork.
The items can be purchased at the official One Piece goods shop, Shueisha's Shonen Jump shop, and Mekke! online store.
