Lia appears twice
The Japanese anime website Anime! Anime! polled its readers to determine what their favorite anime opening theme was. The poll was conducted from November 6 to 12 and got 1,288 responses. The gender ratio was nearly equal, with a slight male majority. About half of the respondents were in their 10s, which is reflected in the list's tilt towards recent works.
The results are:
- "only my railgun," fripSide (A Certain Scientific Railgun)
- "Connect," ClariS (Puella Magi Madoka Magica)
- "Guren no Yumiya," Linked Horizon (Attack on Titan)
- "My Soul, Your Beats!," Lia (Angel Beats!)
- "Melissa," Porno Graffiti (Fullmetal Alchemist)
- "to the beginning," Kalafina (Fate/Zero)
- "Sobakasu," Judy and Mary (Rurouni Kenshin)
- "Jigoku no Sata mo Kimi Shidai," Jigoku no Sata All Stars (Hozuki's Coolheadedness)
- "Tori no Uta," Lia (Air)
- "We Are!," Hiroshi Kitadani (One Piece)
Despite regularly topping karaoke playlists, Neon Genesis Evangelion's theme song, "Zankoku na Tenshi no Thesis," is not on the list. Anime! Anime! also polled its readers on their favorite ending themes, but these results have not yet been announced.
