Lychee Light Club's Usamaru Furuya WIll Draw You For $3,000 Bucks

Ohta Publishing's web magazine PocoPoco launched a service that allows customers to commission portraits from professional manga artists, including Lychee Light Club's Usamaru Furuya, Dementia 21's Shintaro Kago, and illustrator Kana Ohtsuki. Commissions run at 300,000 yen (~$3,000) and differ in style depending on the artist.

Usamaru Furuya artwork sample “2011.11.11 Shinjuku”. The model is actress Fumi Nikaidō. The image is taken from “Fumi Nikaidō Photo Book: Shinkyuu Dekiru ka na”, published by Kodansha in 2012.

Commissions will be accepted until April 30 and finished artwork will be sent out in the fall. Customers can only request portraits of themselves and must send multiple reference photos. Unfortunately, shipping is limited to Japan.
