Make Your Phone Magical With Madoka Magica Customization App

Tons of merchandise and tie-ins are coming out of the woodwork to celebrate the Puella Magi Madoka Magica: Rebellion premiere in Japan on October 26. The latest is the mobile app "Puella Magi Madoka Magica fone" that switches your smartphone to the world of Madoka Magica.
The app uses the next-generation phone interface that lets users customize everything from the home screen to tool design, unlike previous dress-up apps. The magical girls appear on the home screen, and the clock display and icons also change. The Soul Gem, a key item from the original anime, makes an appearance on the loading screen. Depending on your actions, it brightens and darkens, just like in the original.
The app also includes a voice clip collection with the character's famous lines and new original voice clips. On the collection screen, there is a gallery of famous scenes to watch as much as you want, and a magical girl database. Users can also unlock a "magical girl mode" which is a completely different atmosphere where you join the Magi and witches in battle.
"Puella Magi Madoka Magica fone" is planned to be released with five different character types. The first to be released in late October will be the Madoka Kaname version.
It will function with the Android portable terminal and will be sold first in Japan and later in Asia and the West. The price is 1,200 yen (about US$12).
