Mardock Scramble 2 Film's Opening Event to Be Streamed

To mark the Saturday opening of the film Mardock Scramble: The Second Combustion, the creator, director, and voice actress will appear at a discussion panel which will be streamed live on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. in Tokyo (6:00 a.m. EDT). Creator Tow Ubukata (Le Chevalier D'Eon, Fafner, Heroic Age), director Susumu Kudo (Dear Boys/Hoop Days, Kimi ga Aruji de Shitsuji ga Ore de, Mirage of Blaze), and lead voice actress Megumi Hayashibara (Mardock Scramble's Rune Balot) will appear at the event.
The Ustream service and the Nico Nico Douga service will both stream the entire event.
Mardock Scramble: The Second Combustion is the second part in a film trilogy based on novels by Ubukata. Sentai Filmworks licensed the trilogy for North American release with English dubbing and subtitles. Viz Media publishes the novel series in one volume in North America.
In the story, a teenage prostitute named Rune Balot is murdered in an explosion. However, Dr. Easter saves her, and Balot is resurrected as an advanced cyborg. Balot takes on the worst of Mardock City's criminals as she looks for vengeance.
