Street Fighter Artist Creates Site to Promote Artists
posted on by Andrew Osmond
Long Vo, the lead artist of the game Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD Remix, announced Hiptic, a free site for creating single-page personal profiles to showcase artists, models, and other creative professionals.
The user can link the page to his or her entries on Facebook, Twitter, and other social services. The page can also be linked to the user's images and videos from media services such as YouTube and Flickr.
Hiptic is not launched yet, but it has a beta signup page at www.hiptic.com.
Among the people already signed up are robot toy designer/TV host Jesse Hernandez, pro fighting game player Justin Wong, and cosplayers Linda Le and Jan Illenberger.
Vo's other credits include concept art on Robotech: The Shadow Chronicles, ending illustrations for the game Tatsunoko VS Capcom, and art for the comic adaptation of Robotech. Vo also co-founded the "anime-themed virtual hangout," Gaia Online.
