posted on by Egan Loo
The anime studio Shaft updated its official website to confirm that its two-volume Puella Magi Madoka Magica Production Note archive book set will go on general sale in late September. The production company Aniplex held advances sales of the book set at this past week's Comic Market in Tokyo, but there was a limit of two sets per buyer.
In collaboration with graphics designer Milky Isobe, the anime studio Shaft itself compiled and edited the 352 pages of production materials and 144 pages of art by the design team Gekidan Inu Curry. The book set measures 268 x 195 x 47 millimeters (about 10.5 x 7.6 x 1.9 inches) and 1.629 kilograms (3.59 pounds).
Each set contains a B5-sized illustration sheet by character designer Takahiro Kishida, while the limited first edition will add a postcard and a bookmark designed by Gekidan Inu Curry, as well as a separate bookmark of the character Kyubey. Each set costs 5,500 yen (about US$72).
