Nosatsu Junkie's Fukuyama to Stream Coloring Session
posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins
The Ustream website will stream a live coloring session by manga creator Ryoko Fukuyama (Nosatsu Junkie, Monokuro Shōnen Shōjo) to computers worldwide on Thursday and Friday.
The streaming event is being held to commemorate the release of the seventh volume of Fukuyama's Monokuro Shōnen Shōjo manga, which Hakusensha is releasing on Friday. Ustream will stream the coloring session from 1:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m. in Japan (12:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. EDT) on both days. (Fukuyama will announce when she will take breaks during the sessions on her Twitter account.) The colored illustration will be used as the opening illustration for this year's 20th issue of Hakusensha's Hana to Yume magazine, to be released on September 20.
Tokyopop began publishing Fukuyama's Nosatsu Junkie manga in North America in 2006. The company released 6 volumes before it canceled the release of the seventh volume in 2008. The manga ended publication in Japan in 2008 and 16 compiled volumes were published in Japan.
