Yoko Kanno Pens Song for Voice Actress Satomi Akesaka

The official website for voice actress Satomi Akesaka's Ake-Tele 2 variety program confirmed on Tuesday that Akesaka's debut single "Akeban" will include a song written by popular composer Yōko Kanno. "Kemono Oto" is the second song on Akesaka's first single under her own name (as opposed to under the name of a character she played). The CD single will go on sale in Japan on August 24.
Akesaka starred in such anime as Mitsudomoe, Level E, Softenni!, and Kyo no Gononi. Kanno's numerous works includes Cowboy Bebop, Macross Plus and Frontier, Escaflowne, and Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex.
Ake-Tele 2's website is streaming a 80-second promotional video of "Kemon Oto" until August 30. The 91-second promotional video for the first song on the "Akeban" CD single, Ake-Tele 2's opening theme song "Yume no Saki e," is below:
