Blade Episode 1 to Be Streamed Free with Commentary

The Ustream website will stream the first episode of MADHOUSE's anime adaptation of Marvel's American comic character Blade — with commentary by director Mitsuyuki Masuhara (Chi's Sweet Home, Kobato.) and script supervisor Kenta Fukasaku (Battle Royale II: Requiem) — live to computers worldwide on July 1 at 9:45 p.m. in Japan (8:45 a.m. EDT). The first episode will premiere on TV in Japan at 10:00 p.m. that same evening. The address for the Ustream session will be posted on the anime's official website.
The organizers will also announce the results of a giveaway campaign during the live stream.
Blade is the fourth and final anime from MADHOUSE based on Marvel superheroes.
The story revolves around Blade (Akio Ohtsuka), a "Daywalker" vampire hunter who was born with vampire and human blood after a vampire attacked his mother. While visiting Japan on a mission, Blade tracks down Deacon Frost (Tsutomu Isobe), the vampire who killed his mother. Blade confronts "Existence," a mysterious organization composed of vampires modified by Frost. Maaya Sakamoto and Osamu Saka also star as Makoto and Noah Van Helsing, respectively.
