Wii's Successor Ships in 2012, Playable Demos at E3

The Japanese game maker Nintendo confirmed on Monday that it will sell the successor to its Wii game console next year. In addition, it will announce more specific information about the successor at E3, the videogame exhibition that will take place in Los Angeles from June 7 to June 9. Nintendo will exhibit playable versions of the successor at E3.
Nintendo reports that the Wii, as of the end of March, has sold 86.01 million units worldwide since its 2006 launch. Nintendo unveiled its Nintendo 3DS portable game system, the stereoscopic 3D successor to the Nintendo DS, at last year's E3.
