Description:
In the midst of a global war, a giant alien spacecraft crashes onto the Earth at tiny Macross Island. The war gives way to peace and cooperation in light of this improbable situation. In the 10 years that follow, the spacecraft, dubbed the SDF-1, is studied and rebuilt. But the peace is short-lived when an alien armada arrives to reclaim their missing ship.
