All the Chapters in Volumes 2 and 3 of this manga series consisted together a 2nd "Space Battleship Yamato" (Star Blazers) serial published by Akita Shoten for "Adventure King", depicting an alternate version of the story of Yamato's voyage to Telezart, with the first nine chapters using the early portion of "Farewell Space Battleship Yamato"'s version of the story itself, with later chapters using a portion from "Space Battleship Yamato 2"'s version of the same story. Strangely, this manga serial was never finished.
