Plot Summary:
Chihiro drifts through life with no purpose, until he finds an abandoned kitten in a box. He ends up adopting the kitten, naming her Shiro, becoming an irreplaceable part of his life. One evening, Chihiro finds Shiro has fallen ill after coming back from work. Searching franticly for an animal hospital, he runs into Daisuke Kumazawa, a local vet who takes Shiro into his care. Watching Daisuke in action, Chihiro realizes he wishes to learn about the value of life and asks Daisuke to consider hiring him at the vet clinic. Daisuke turns Chihiro down because of his lack of experience, but suggests that he becomes his live-in housekeeper instead. Chihiro soon finds that he may have found his purpose in life, and a potential partner in the process.
