Minako Aino's song "C'est la vie" is a dead giveaway to her identity as a Sailor Soldier, as it's pronounced the same way the Japanese pronounce Sailor V.
On June 2003, Toei held a one-week audition to find candidates for the Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon cast. A total of 1,152 girls auditioned for the roles before Miyuu Sawai, Chisaki Hama, Keiko Kitagawa, Mew Azama, and Ayaka Komatsu were selected to play the Sailor Senshi.
Some of the songs that Zoicite plays on his piano are actual musical pieces. The first song he can be heard playing on his piano is "Fantasie Impromptu and Etude in C Minor" by Chopin; he can later be heard playing "Moonlight Sonata" by Beethoven.
This isn't the first time Sailor Moon was adapted into a live-action format. Since 1993, Bandai Co. Ltd. has hosted a series of Sailor Moon musical shows (commonly known by fans as Seramyu) that have had over 800 performances in various theaters in Japan.
美少女戦士 セーラームーン (Bishoujo Senshi Seeraa Muun) uses the English title "Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon," but it is not an accurate translation. Its literal translation is "Pretty Girl Soldier Sailor Moon."
In episode 29, "I Was Born to Love You" by Freddie Mercury plays during the scene where Usagi and Mio's class play volleyball. The DVD release replaces the song with an extended BGM track.
