Chrono Crusade (TV)

The series name was orignally spelled 'Chrno Crusade' in Japan. For its North American release it was renamed by ADV as 'Chrono Crusade.'

In episode four, during the close up of the newspaper regarding Ricardo, the small text itself has nothing to do with the topic of the paper. Instead the text is rambling on about Republicans, Bush and Iraq current situations now, not events in 1928.

While initially both versions appeared to be the same, because of plot changes made by Gonzo, the search for Joshua is where major differences appear. Aion's objectives were completely different in the manga.

Rosette closely resembles Kome Sawaguchi from Blue Seed.

The Prophecies of Fatima from the beginning of the series was based on a rumor about three children receiving three secrets from the virgin Mary in 1917.

The character Rosette looks identical in almost every aspect, including her clothes, to the Guilty Gear's famous crossdresser Bridget.

Most of the events are based on prophecies in the Book of Revelation in the Bible.

during the fight on the church grounds you dont see them reloading the shotguns they just keep shooting.

Despite the origional japanese name being Chrno Crusade the Mangaka Daisuke Moriyama wanted to call it Chrono Crusade but the name was copy-writed in Japan, it was however changed to the way he wanted it for the english dub.

During episode 12 when Satella put a large amount of bills in the collection box the top bill shows an amount of 10,000, being set in america and the 20's $10,000 dollars wouls have been a fortune itself and certanly there would be no printed bills of that amount. It is possible that the animators simpley forgot that the show was set in america and did the currency in Yen which would explain the large amount.

In episode 1 of the anime, in the French version, when the scientist is calmly staring at Rosette's underwears, after she yells while blushing, the man says "Ça a l'air doux, c'est neuf ; c'est lavé avec quoi ?" (= "It looks smooth, it's new; what is it washed with?") It actually refers to a famous catch-phrase in a washing liquid TV commercial (starting in the 1980s) - "Mir Laine" is its name.

In Episode 5, Rosette has to save Azmaria from a demon within her. The technology she uses resembles an antiquated version of the Ghost in the Shell diving equipment. This is most apparent in the headpiece.

In episode 23, Aion says the words "Eloi, Eloi, Lama Sabachthani?" which are the words Jesus Christ said as He hung on the cross at Golgatha. It means "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?"
