Trivia:

While having "Mirai Shōnen Conan II" in the title, the story and characters have no relationship to the original Mirai Shōnen Conan (Conan, the Boy in Future) in 1978. Screenwriter Hideki Mitsui commented that, with characters designed by Sakamaki and directed by Conan veteran Hayakawa, he was certain that the new series would be capable to convey the spirit of Conan to the new generation. However, "Mirai Shōnen Conan II" was taken off from the title after episode 14.
