This is the first TV animation for the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure manga series in its entire 25 year run. There have previously only been OVA and anime film adaptations.

The series' "to be continued format", which uses the Yes song "Roundabout", has been used as a popular Internet meme since 2016.

"Roundabout" was one of creator Hirohiko Araki's favorite songs that he played while drawing the manga.
