This anime is starting with almost the same as the OVAs did in their time, just with some little diferences. In wich is the most remarkable that the "ecchi level" has been lowered. Maybe in order to promote this anime to a major audiences and at a more familiar broadcast time. Since the OVAs where full of ecchi jokes even with tendencies to soft-hentai.
The episodes are divided under "school periods" 3 to 5 each one. And each one is a separate story. This was the style from the OVAs and is passed now onto the anime.
The ending themes "secret base ~Kimi ga Kureta Mono~" and "Daibakuhatsu NO.1" are covers of popular songs by the former all-female band ZONE (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ZONE), sung by the seiyuus under the group name "Friends".
In episode 9 when trying to guess the hurricane's name, the names Kana, Chiaki, and Haruka were among the names guessed. This is a refereince to the author's other manga/anime "Minami-Ke" in which the main characters are named Kana, Chiaki, and Haruka.
In episode 10, during the second fairy tale, Aihara is playing a fairy that looks very much like Tinkerbell.
