This year's 12th issue of Kodansha's Morning magazine revealed on Thursday that Shinjirō (Fate/Zero, Taboo Tattoo) will draw a manga based on the Kamen Rider Amazons franchise starting in the magazine's next issue on March 1. The manga is titled "Kamen Rider Amazons Gaiden: Hotarubi." Yasuko Kobayashi, the screenwriter of both Kamen Rider Amazons seasons, is supervising the manga.
The manga is part of the magazine's series of "Carnaval" one-shots that celebrate the magazine's 35th anniversary.
The 13-episode first season of Kamen Rider Amazons debuted in April 2016 on Amazon Prime instant video in Japan, and streamed new episodes weekly. The series then premiered on BS Asahi and Tokyo MX in July 2016. The second season debuted on Amazon Prime last April. The series will get a sequel film tentatively titled Kamen Rider Amazons - Kanketsuhen (Final Chapter) this spring.
