posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda
This year's 51st issue of Kodansha's Morning magazine published a one-shot of Seishi Kishimoto's Mad Chimera World manga on Thursday. The one-shot is part of the magazine's series of "Carnaval" one-shots that celebrate the magazine's 35th anniversary.
The manga is set in a ruined world overrun with chimerical creatures where the female creatures eat the males. Two creatures explore the land: Usagi, the elder sister, protects her brother Mitsuki, a curious chronicler who is able to read the books in their secret hiding place to know that the world was once different.
Kishimoto launched the manga in Kodansha's Morning two magazine on April 22. Kodansha will publish the manga's first compiled book volume on November 22.
Kishimoto launched the Sukedachi Nine (Assist Nine) manga in Square Enix's Shonen Gangan magazine in October 2014, and he ended the series in Juy 2016. The manga received two side-story chapters in 2014. Square Enix published five compiled book volumes for the manga. Crunchyroll publishes the manga digitally.
Kishimoto previously wrote the action fantasy manga Kurenai no Ōkami to Ashikase no Hitsuji (The Crimson Wolf and the Trapped Sheep) in 2011-2013, and the fighting manga Blazer Drive in 2008-2010. He serialized his adventure series O-Parts Hunter (666 Satan) in Shonen Gangan from 2001 until 2007, and Viz Media published all 19 volumes of the manga between 2006 and 2009.
Kishimoto is the younger twin brother of Naruto manga creator Masashi Kishimoto.
