Aniplex

Panelist: Hiroe Tsukamoto
Fans attending the Aniplex panel had the chance to check out a few trailers for recent and upcoming works, many of which are being screened this weekend at New York Anime Fest.
The trailers started with Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, which is currently streaming online on Hulu, Anime News Network, and Funimation's video portal. Based on the manga series, Brotherhood is a more faithful adaptation than the first Fullmetal Alchemist series, which diverged from the original source material. Funimation will be releasing the series early next year, with a dub cast that was announced at NYAF this afternoon.
Aniplex also showed a trailer for Gurren Lagann the Movie: Childhood's End, which is the second film out of two that recaps the events from the television series. The film will be screened Sunday morning at the convention. There was also a trailer for Guin Saga, a new series produced by Satelight. Although the trailer was dubbed in English, there is no known North American distributor yet. However, fans eager to sample the series can watch the first subtitled episode, which will be screened tomorrow night.
Other trailers included Kannagi, which is available on DVD from Bandai Entertainment and streaming on Anime News Network; Garden of Sinners, a seven-film series based on the Kara no Kyōkai novels by Type-Moon; and Kuroshitsuji (Black Butler).
The final trailer was for Cencoroll, a 30-minute film that was hand-animated by Atsuku Uki. The premier will be held tonight at NYAF.
The panel concluded with a Q&A session.
