Coincidentally, I was reading the novel version for this just this weekends. Interesting though. I like this series so might consider getting a copy of the manga in the future.

Not gonna lie, I saw the title and thought at first it was going to be a sequel or spinoff to Naoki Urasawa's manga.

Hmm, LN adaption. While it does sound kind of interesting, mostly because this time the guy isn't a human in the new world, I'll steer clear of it for now.

Seven Seas picks up another manga about monsters? How shocking.

Me, too, then I remembered that was called Another Monster(a novel that follows a reporter following the events of the Monster manga).

Just want to clarify that while this does have a "monster" element to it, the series is far more rooted in the fantasy-action genre. We've seen lots of similar titles crop up, and many have done well--though I personally think that Re:Monster is able to stand apart from its genre-sharing ilk.

As mentioned in the PR, this is a little more like SAO, Overlord, Mushoku Tensei than it is Monster Musume, 12 Beast, etc..

I've read some of the LN, it was promising until it delved too much into harem and ecchi. It felt like it was loosing it's focus so I dropped it, similar to my feelings about Legendary Moonlight Sculptor. Why do light novels seem tricky by reeling you in and then proving to be subpar. -_-

Yeah, I heard about this not long before this announcement, and it sounded that way to me too. I wonder if this impression is common.

I'm personally rather excited about this news. Out of the many different WN, LN, and manga currently going on about character reincarnations in different worlds, Re:Monster has a nice twist to it by having a human become a monster in his next life. Although I would have preferred it if his ability as a human, which came with him as a monster, wasn't so over the top powerful. Still though, I'm very happy that Re:Monster will finally be out in English to own!

I definitely hope this starts more interest in possibly picking up some of the other Alphapolis manga. Very Happy

Well, maybe the interest has already started? This is the 2nd Alphapolis manga (that I know of) to be licensed in recent months.

The 1st was Sekai Project licensing the GATE manga. Though, I'm still wondering if it is a digital or print release (or both). Can't find any information as to the format Sekai Project will be releasing that one.

I heard about that and am very excited for it! I really do hope Sekai does a good job. I'd hate for the format it comes out in to be done poorly. Next please license: The Reincarnated One Doesn't Want to Cheat, World Customize Creator, In Another World I'm Called The Black Healer, The Mage Will Master Magic Efficiently In His Second Life, and Huh? Everything Is Normal Here, You See? Pretty please? Very Happy

Ah. The other definer of the reincarnation fantasy.

I hear this one gets really rapey.
