Ow, that's gotta hurt. I hope she gets well soon. I find it a bit surprising that Chiaki is still going to appear at the event despite her injury.

Not as much as you'd think, there are no nerve endings in a tendon. I've heard it's more of a dull pain and the body part loses full function. It probably hurts more to repair it.

From what people have told me that experience it the worst part of the injury itself is that it contracts and shoots up your leg and the feeling is pretty 'gross' for loss of a better word. The surgery is pretty bad, and rehab is torture.

Shallow much? Because she is a popular voice actress and to let the fans know. Sometimes when a seiyuu has a hard time in their life, they might not work on shows for a while and such announcements can give the fans a heads up on it.

What a horrible injury to receive. Wishing her well and healing along the way.
