You say Baki the Grappler I say take my money. I already bought the digital anime encyclopedia, but some of these more scholarly books do pique my interest.
You might want to edit the post because some of the text does not fit on the screen, which leaves some parts of those recommendations out. |

I'm not having the same text problem you are. Can you describe what you're seeing? |

I am getting that cut-off as well, with no scroll bar at the bottom. I just have to widen my screen size to see all the words. Google Chrome browser, Windows 7.

The Holy Quintet Canvas of PMMM would be a neat item to buy. What better way to pass the time a bit than solving the small puzzle of a beautiful picture of the contracted magical girls?

Any interesting storyboard? I'd love one from Shirobako but it doesn't sounds like there's one in the book.

OK, looks like we got this fixed up. Thanks for the headsup. |

The Kyo-Ani posters/calendars look pretty, and the price is not half bad. Then again, I'm also interested in that "Anime: A Critical Introduction" book. In any case, this is a pretty handy article.

Hey everyone! We actually have The Anime Encyclopedia @ $60 (which is less than Amazon) in our Holiday Sale!
*shameless self-advertising* http://www.rightstufanime.com/Anime-Encyclopedia-The-A-Century-of-Japanese-Animation-3rd-Revised-Ed-HC (Seriously though, this is a great deal -- this thing is HUGE.) |

Is anyone else annoyed they didn't wait one more year and make this a full 100 year encyclopedia? I didn't see "Katsudō Shashin" listed in the index, so I'm assuming they consider "Imokawa Mukuzo Genkanban no Maki" the first anime. Although I wonder if this even includes 2015. We might be getting cheated out of 2 or 3 years. |

I might be a bit bias, but that Madoka acrylic art is the coolest thing ever. Homura's is also pretty cool. Why isn't that there too?

I'll take those Osamu Tezuka art books, please! I thought they got delayed to 2016, did they get undelayed I guess? And of course I shall have both of them (if our favorite wallet smashers puts them on sale sometime, though they are brand new releases, they may not?)
Also, isn't there going to be a manga section? There's a DVD/Blu-ray section, but I needs manga here, man! |

I'm curious about finding a little something for some anime buddies of mine with this. I'm looking forward to the future days.
Personally, I'll be bidding on an Evangelion cel on Mandarake and wasting all my personal spending money that way... |

Holiday Gift Guide 2015? Not a bad place to push more ads I suppose.
I do find it amusing that, as far as the ANN search engine could take me, this was only "gift guide" other than 2007 and 1998, with the latter being more about purposely gifting bad gifts and was focused on comedy/entertainment rather than selling ad-space. |

Coincidentally I just ordered it from TRSI. Had it on my wishlist for a few months already. |

@TrustTheFungus: I am thinking they might be rounding a few years to make it a century. It's also possible they might be incorporating only anime that is at least a minute long. Either way, both are essentially the earliest anime.
