Well this is a surprise, I've been following the manga for a while and certainly didn't expect it to get an anime.

Could mean "cheap sweet candy" but could also mean "however".

Japanese is a weird language.

There's actually a lot of doujinshi of this title, which is rare for a manga prior to an anime adaptation. I've been quite curious about it due to that so I'll check the show out.

I tried reading a few chapters of this manga and was bored to death and gave up.

Hot girl who is obsessed with sweets which is also her family business most convince boy her age to marry her before his father a master candy maker will agree too work for her company.

Problem is boy who is also talented with sweets wants to be a mangaka instead and girl is so into sweets doesn't know anything about being a girl.

Chapter after chapter about the details of sweets and so forth it wasn't even interesting at all.

Guess Japan is running out of ideas when they have to turn to such a title that by the way hasn't been out that long.

That's incorrect. She just needs to get him to agree to take over the store.

Just burned through what's available of the manga in english (21 chapters, 10 pages each so it was easy) and I found it amusing enough. It's true that I don't find the explainations of the various sweets all that interesting, but they do it in an over the top manner to keep it entertaining.

It's also nice that the main girl is a fun person. She's not a tsundere or the type too look down on the main guy because she's rich and he's some bumpkin. She's a weirdo, for sure, but pretty likable.

Well, the way you accent it is different. Not to mention, you use kanji if you want to say "cheap sweet candy", 「駄菓子菓子」.

English has its fair share of words that are spelled the same but have completely different meanings and are pronounced differently too. Tear a book or shed a tear. Please bow before you fire the bow. He got so wound up when he discovered a wound. Maybe the gentle wind will wind him down. See, tons of them.

Manga typically have 8-10 chapters per volume and this on the 3rd volume. Granted, that it wasn't exactly 64 weeks ago (going off the end of June '14), so why hasn't it been in like it's 4-5 volume by now?

Each chapter is only 10 pages. Volume 1 has 18 chapters.

So most likely a short-form anime, then?

With those 10 pages, despite having deadlines, I would think that the manga-ka could get more sleep than those doing a standard 15-20 page weekly chapter.

Sounds like an indie romance film.
