Since his wife has a broken tooth, she can get a divorce and that pretty much ends it.

My guess is that he probably won't get charged and (hopefully) they end up getting divorced. In case he did do it, she should probably get away as fast as possible. That would be the best solution for both of them.

and if he did not do it he should get away form her as much as possible.

The one thing you learn is that even the folks you admire are real people too with real faults. This is pretty bad. But like someone said it's not over.
