I'm curious to see the final result, given that there's no BD in Japan yet so we have no idea what materials they were using.

Having acquired a copy from RightStuf, I can honestly attest that the video quality on this BD is really good. Miles better than the DVD release. The colors look so much richer and while there may be the occasional dust speck, it still puts the Urban Vision DVD to shame.
The newer dub is also quite good, IMO. Easily superior to the laughable Streamline version.

It's not a matter of being better than the DVD, that's beyond obvious, it's the degree to which the BD looks compared with other BDs.

I would disagree.
There are lots of Blu Rays that look exactly like their DVD counterpart because they come from the same source material.
Also, when deciding whether to buy a particular release on DVD or Blu Ray, and a person asks "I wonder how the Blu Ray looks," obviously how it looks compared to the DVD (ie: is it worth spending more money on the BD, or should I just get the DVD) is more important than how it looks compared to unrelated BDs.

Is the Streamline dub included? It was an important part of my childhood. I'd really miss it. I am considering the Blu-ray but that is kind of a turn-off because I'd want to keep my Urban Vision DVD copy also.

No Sentai wasn't allowed to include it in their release.

That sucks. I still might pick it up. I have two copies of My Neighbor Totoro because of the dubs.

So, um... I won the contest, but the state I'm listed from is wrong. I did check my address over many times before I entered. Can I make sure this is correct, or is the the prize already being sent?
