The soundtracks from Super Mario 64 are my favorite.
The music of Dire Dire Docks made myself feel as if I was exploring in a vast wonderland. Smile

Blame SE or Shimomura, they may have the music rights.

I love Super Mario 3, World and the Galaxy series' Music.

Sunshine has pretty good tracks too despite being one of my least favorite Mario games.

It must be interesting hearing these songs in order and reliving the history of the series.

That being said, they're focusing solely on the main series. That's why Super Mario RPG isn't on there, I'd bet. Otherwise, you'd have main themes from games like Super Mario Kart, Mario Party, Paper Mario, Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, and Luigi's Mansion on, all of which have been major offshoots of the franchise.

This has got to be one of the ultimate nostalgia trips for gamers. The way I see it is that Mario is to video games as to Superman is to comic books. That is, that extremely famous character/icon for a specific form of entertainment that stands out above others of form.

This is really nice. Now can someone do a reprint for classic Zelda. I'm trying to get my job to collect something like this but we're not ready for this. But I would love for us to start collecting something like this. But we're looking into it.

I believe the blame would lie with Square.

There was a release years ago. But that was years ago to try and ask for a release today would depend on a market for game music here. It would be nice to have that as a release here. That was another of Shimomura's best. Wink
