Nice, it looks like the developer is getting just what they wanted: great story without all that pesky gameplay Acually, I don't think it can live up to the game's story, but it should be interesting to see how they handle it.

Trilogy?
When did they announce they were making it a trilogy? I assumed they were going to do a game for each chapter in the perfect works book... |

I assumed they would too, but their timeline doesnt seem to be meeting up with the PW timeline so maybe they decided to scrap the whole 5th chapter=Xenogears thing and tell an enclosed story instead.

Great, then we'll legally see it sometime around 2008, then the rights will be pulled and we'll be missing an episode or two along the way. |

I doubt that... I see it being licensed sometime in the first half of 2005 in order to capitalize on the 2nd PS2 game coming out in Febuary. Then we'd probably see it come out in the US sometime by the 4th quarter of 2005. As is ideal with all marketing, strike while the proverbial iron is hot.
Even if the anime is poorly done, it will still sell well if the people are still interested in it after playing. |
