Its no surprise that Funimation licensed this. I'm still waiting for a release date annoucement for Arise OVA 3-4. I have no interest in this TV cut of the OVAs and will not be buying this when it is released (assuming it is). I guess if they release this TV series on DVD/Blu-ray it will be for the people that didn't already buy the OVAs.

Cool. Now if someone licenses a stream for Yamada-kun to 7-nin no Majo, then every single one of the 29 currently airing shows that I'm following/checking out will be legit streams. That would be a first for me. There always seems to be one or two titles per season that I'm forced to seek non-legit sources for.

So is it worth buying the OVA's now? Or should I just wait for this cut sense it has these extra episodes?

I thought this show was going to be left behind... Good that it was picked-up.

Yes!, this was pretty much the only show missing from my streaming list. Can't wait for those new episodes.
Maybe you know already, but there's going to be a (Japanese) BD/DVD release of just the new episodes.
I think it depends on how much you want to see those new episodes. They'll have to cut small bits here and to fit into TV-episode length, so the TV version might not be the "whole" thing. |

How come Manga don't license it any more, it was one of their most well known licenses. They even provided pretty good dubs for them, not bashing Funimation haven't seen Arise dub.

I'm a bit surprised, since there was no bundle deal to be had here, as there was with the Psycho-pass edit (when they licensed it, and the then-coming second series and movie all at the same time). |

Yes, I am aware of that and plan on getting it, assuming it has English subtitles. If I remember right, it will be released in August. I'm hoping Right Stuf will sell it like they did the rest of the Arise OVAs. I've been buying Funimation's release of the OVAs so far, but I may as well just buy the Japanese release of the new episodes so I don't have to wait 1+ year for Funimation's release (I prefer the new Japanese cast to the new English cast anyway). |

Since the BD releasing in August is simply titled "Pyrophoric Cult", I'm assuming that it will be one film-length episode like the other four OVAs. It will probably only be split up into two episodes for the AAA broadcast on May 31st and June 7th. |
