Hell yes, it's about frigging time.
But I also wonder about [EDIT - No group names. -C] since they are doing the scanlations on Outlaw Star and Future-Retro Hero Story.
It's been quite a long time and I knew Viz was going to pick it up sometime.
Now if the Outlaw Star manga does come out and makes money, do you think Future-Retro Hero Story will be next (Since it is related to OLS)?
Or the Outlaw Star novels (yes, they do exist)?

They'll probably just stop doing distributions on their own site, but I doubt they'll stop translating it (if they still currently are).

Yes! It's about [expletive] time! Oh, but now that I think about it, is the outlaw star manga based off of the show, or did the manga come first?

The imported Outlaw Star volumes I have, says it was printed in 1997.
But it could have been earlier than that probably since it is a first book printing rather than when it was first published in Ultra Jump.
The Future-Retro Hero Story imported volumes I have state 1996, however, that's the Home Comics version. FRHS has been reprinted two times and the first printing could have come out around or before 1989 since that year is on one of the Drama CDs.
And then there's an Angel Links manga too, but I've only seen one volume.
[EDIT - No group names. -C] tends to drop translating when something gets licensed. So your correct on that, Emerje.

the manga came first because it was made in 97 and the anime was made in 98.

The manga isn't really like the series though. At least to me it has a darker feel. It's also full of sex and gigantic breasts. But I guess the guys in the fandom will hardly argue against that :/ Ah well ^^ Now I can finally know what everybody was so upset about in the manga XD

Um, I recall that the Outlaw Star manga has a lot of sex in it.
I think we are introduced to Gene while he's in bed. Wonder if it will get left alone....

There's only two sex scenes in the whole manga series and I'm hoping they don't cut them out since I'm someone who doesn't like censorship.
Other than that, there's scenes of occasional nasty violence. But the worse violent scene (where you feel like saying 'Ouch!!') has to be in the second volume.
I also wonder if Viz might come out with the chapters that have been published in Ultra Jump (Japanese), but not published into Young Jump book/volume format yet.
Because I still want to know what connection Kohryu and Azell have to Gene or why he's even dreaming of that scene.
For those not in the know: Kohryu and Azell are Future-Retro Hero Story characters.

YAYAYAYAYAYAY!!! And luckily, the animetion wasn't so awesome that you feel like the manga will be a waste of time(like how I feel about the Cowboy Bebop manga). Now if only Firefly can get back on the air....
