I would read Food Wars to appease my love for fan service. Two reasons would be because I love fan service and because going after from the food angle might increase my love of food.

Nice to see Kitchen Princess on there. I always thought it was surprisingly dark for a young girls' shojo manga considering they kill one of the love interests part way through but the recipes are definitely workable.
Toss up between Assassination Classroom and Kuroko season3 for my most anticipated series but I went for Kuroko as I know I enjoyed the first 2 series.

I voted that I am most anticipating the new Dog Days series. Since the 1st 2 series are done and have all their BD/DVD volumes out, I'm still waiting for a dub to occur.

Oh my gosh Kitchen Princess! That was one of the first manga I've ever read!! My middle school's library was kind of a dump but I was blessed. They had very little manga (like I think four manga at the most) and I was blessed because among those four books was "Yotsuba&!" (The book that changed my life) and Kitchen Princess! What a better way to get introduced into the world of anime and manga!

I almost expected to see Toriko in the list, although I guess you'll die from hunger, while reading it, rather then learn how to cook
As for the new poll - I chose Sengoku Musou, since I am a fan of the series. If it wouldn't be there, then Durarara 2 or Death Parade would've had my vote.

I voted for Durarara!!x2 in the new poll. I honestly did not expect a season 2, but I am very happy it is being made.
I want to watch and expect Yuri Kuma Arashi to be good because it is Ikuhara. And Rolling Girls and Saenai Heroine no Sodate-kata intrigue me.

I have two most anticipated shows for winter, Death Parade and Assassination Classroom. It was hard but I voted for Assassination Classroom since it's amazing comedy + shounen and I can't wait to see it(and Korosensei with Fukuyama Jun's voice) animated!

I'm surprised that food wars didn't get an anime version as yet.
However, what i am peeved is that how in the hell toriko isnt on this list? i mean not having that series here, even as an honorable mention cause he does cooks what he hunts after all is the biggest case of an uber snubbing.
Not to mention with that poll too. i can get arcanine as number 1, but to not have suicune, raikou and entei who the pokemon fan community have classified them as the three legendary dogs of johto is an even bigger sub.

It's getting an adaption in the Spring, so that's something to look forward to!
I imagine the reason Toriko isn't on the list is because it is a fantasy series. You can't actually cook the recipes shown in the series, since they don't exist.
I'm very interested in cooking, and I love Shokugeki no Soma, so I might have to check some of these out!

7 Manga to Improve Your Cooking
Manga that have recipes you can actually use to cook things. It says it very clearly in the opening paragraph and in the title of the article. There are no recipes in Toriko because they're eating mythical beasts.

I'm just really happy that my two favorite cooking manga are there. Kinou Nani Tabeta? is a rather refreshing series, and pretty interesting. And Cooking Papa is very detailed in the steps. BARTLEY!

Not arguing with The List at all, but another manga that I thought had great advice about cooking was Takasugi-San's Obento.

I'm a sucker for foodie manga, so I might have to bookmark a lot of these series. I've checked bits and bobs of Oishinbo, but it's really hard to find down here. What I read, I did like though.
I remember trying out one or two of the Kitchen Princess recipes; can't remember how much of a success they were, but if I can't remember, it's probably for the best.
