As controversial as the ending of season 1, I am curious to see how this will go for the sequel. |

I love how no matter what this series plot outline and happenings always sounds so much more interesting in these promos than when watching the actual show. Aniplex is so much better at advertising and hyping a show than they are at actually making it truly engaging in practice. Like that little promo blurb describes absolutely nothing what the show is actually like. Like it only tangentially at absolute best has anything to do with what happened in the shows first season, but boy if it doesn't make it sound like the coolest shit ever. Too bad it's well...bullshit.

I still feel like they'll wind up just retconning that whole last episode.
Even so, and despite its many glaring flaws, I actually liked Aldnoah's first season. It has a lot of good ideas going for it. Here's hoping they don't fudge it up even more by trying to go full Urobutcher spergville on it. |

When i saw this, i thought this was a prequel.
However. I think either the princess was saved, but the male earth lead is dead. Or the Princess is dead, but someone is playing the part of the princess. Either way, is twisted. |

Multiple different versions with different packaging and extras also help. That's the premium market though, it's the same with a lot of video games too like call of duty where a lot of hype and marketing goes behind the product and they convince people that they need to buy these expensive premium packages with exclusive content and advantages over the regular edition and it works with somewhat surprising frequency. I say surprising because I'm pretty much a value buyer who will not purchase something if I don't feel I need it and the more aggressive a company is with it's advertising the more skeptical become of the true value of the product than the other reason around since I figure if the advertising needs to be at that level it must mean there's a lack of confidence in the ability of the end product to speak with itself. |

I'm hoping the princess is a fake and they stay dead. If one lived, the other probably did too. The same implied head shot was done for both where their heads jerked back and you saw blood but it could also possibly just have grazed them as you can't see where exactly the bullet hit. |

Somewhat spoilerish concerning the princess: spoiler[She was shown in a still (linked to in another thread) in what looked like an advanced wheelchair, so it looks like she's going to have survived rather than it being a retcon.]

It seems every article about Aldnoah leads to an argument in the forums, so ill spare myself the long rant by just saying I am looking forward to how this ends up.
