I think this was the anime I was looking forward to the most this season, but it hasn't been announced as a simulcast and that disappoints me. I may have not read the book, but I like the NHK shows and this is comes from the son of 1 of Japan's most revered (today, Hayao's views on the industry has certain people seeing him as a grumpy old man) animators.

You do know that Hayao Miyazaki doesn't really have anything to do with this right? The studio he founded and his son sure, but he didn't have much to do with it at all.

I like the fact it's a bit longer. I'll hold off on it until it gets a US release though. I've got lots of other shows to watch this season still.

Yes, I'm aware of that. However, you could potentially get more people to buy it in the U.S. if there was a message to the effect of "Directed by the son of legendary Japanese director and animator Hayao Miyazaki".

Nice, glad to hear it's a longer one.
