Ah cool, more voice casts announced. I can't wait to see Irina in this. I think she will appear fairly early soon as well during the season.

I'm disappointed with the casting for Koro-sensei, just because I was hoping a different actor would get the role. As much as I like Jun Fukuyama, I don't think he really suits the role all that well.

Ahhh cant wait for this generic but super funny and fairly original series to get animated. This will fill the hearts of all the idiots who love the weekly shonen jump and its poor toilet paper quality. Such as myself.

Jun Fukuyama would have been more fitting for the androgynous looking mc.

Looking forward to it, I have no strong feelings about the cast till I hear them performing but I'm fond of prior roles that the first event anime's cast and this anime's cast have done.
I hope the waiting for the show (World Trigger got a show just like that) will lead to a decent production.

I'm now imagining either Viz Media or Funimation acquiring this anime.

Tomokazu Seki also played Koro-Sensei in the J Stars VS.It's a shame that he was just a placeholder in a video game that gathered iconic characters with most of their respective iconic voices being kept...

Man, couldn't they keep Suwabe for Karasuma. I always imagined him with Suwabe's voice even before I saw the OVA.

Ugh.... Bummer...
Lame casting...
Seki-san is the fittest role for Koro... but well, Fukujun might prove good as well however, Sugita as Suwabe's proxy was a total miscast.

Most likely Viz considering Shonen Jump titles and whatnot.

Glad that this is airing before the live action film gets a chance to screw things up. >_>

Can't be helped, I've came across some anime which changed the voice cast for a few secondary members from the original video game despite them being established for multiple titles (Senran Kagura's Hanzo, Murasame and Dogen). Directors seem to be step in and make new choices but in this case, the original cast were not near as established.
An OVA and an appearance in a game isn't that much, at least in comparison to a full TV run. I'm sure some other characters in J Stars had to have placeholder voices (even if they are competent) if they were really new. It is the same as VOMICs, Drama CDs and such having another cast.

Lower your expectations, this team apparently don't have the best record with video game anime (different I know) and knowing the usual anime based on long running manga formula, there will be something dumb and annoying even if you are 100% sold on the source material.

I really wanted Onosaka Masaya for the role, haha. He's so funny and great with dramatic roles. I really wanted to watch him in another leading 'man' role. This would have been right up his alley, but oh well.
I haven't been keeping up with the manga, but I am a fan of Matsui Yusei and his previous work Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro. I got far enough in Assassination Classroom to see how awesome it is though. It has just the right amount of his perverse and unique sense of humor to run well with the masses and is very heartfelt when it needs to be.
