Here's a question for you all:
a) Have magic powers but will never get laid
b) Get laid, and lead a normal life

This staff has piqued my interest. I'll have to check this out come January.

Now whoever picks it up will have to add, 'Not to be confused with The CW's Jane the Virgin.'

Hmm, not huge on the premise and as much as I like Kurata, he's kind of been slumping it as of late, so I'm unsure. Guess I'll still give it a look.

The key visual alone got my interest. Awesome character design.

I suspect the fetish outfit answers that question.

You know, I was skeptical while looking up the title since it can be considered inherently erotic-oriented at first glance, but after quickly browsing through a few of the translated manga chapters...this is actually not half-bad for a comedy series. It's surprisingly not mindless ecchi either, despite the outfits and sex-related jokes, which might be explained by the author being the same person responsible for Moyashimon.
Of course, the humor deals with some relatively crass subject matter that might offend certain people, but I'd say that making fun of the Catholic Church and the supposedly sacred value assigned to virginity is a time-honored practice dating back centuries, even outside of Japan. While it will not win any prizes for sophistication or maturity, at least from what I saw, there's some potential for entertaining satire here, which the anime may or may not help with.

So Taniguchi decided to get of his lazy bum, huh? Well, the adaptation of satirical manga by Moyashimon author seems good, but I wish he would get back to stuff like Planetes and Infinite Ryvius.

Never has virginity become so much plot points as in anime.

Priapos is an appropriate name for a character for this series since it was named after a Greco-Roman phallic god.

The staff list has me intrigued, but ugh, dat plot summary.
It's kind of hard to ignore the subtext of "woman uses magical powers to obstruct war, but only if she never touches a penis!"

The manga is actualy kind of lame and obviously very tame.
I wonder how the anime will be received.

That character design is incredibly retro. Consider me interested.

Compared to Berserk and how explicit that gets, a lot of things would be kind of lame and very tame.

That's certainly amusing, knowing the character in question.

Like I said, this isn't a very mature manga...but the first five or six chapters have the protagonist using her magical powers to obstruct war without that limitation. Within the context of the story, that turn of events was presented as being arbitrarily forced by a third party, rather than as a positive development or reward of any kind.
