Inu Yasha Tidbits (09:12 PM EST): While it won't come as a surprise and there hasn't been any truly formal announcement, forum poster 'tcov' has passed along some information found in the latest issue of Animerica that indicates that, "a DVD release of the first Inu Yasha movie this summer, then a DVD release of the second movie later this year." There's been various talk around certain dubbing journals and sites about the work on a "mysterious but obvious" feature film that's been worked on in the dubbing studios lately up in Canada by the Viz folks, so hopefully we'll hear something more formal soon, but probably not until we're closer to Anime Expo knowing the short publicity windows that Viz seems to prefer.

Even though I've seen the first two movies in Japanese with english subs I still want to see them english dubbed. So first two movies this year and probably the 3rd dubbed maybe by next year hopefully.

I also have already seen the first two. I didn't care too much for the first one, but the second one was better, in my opinion.

I actually saw #1 on a bootlegged DVD (thank goodness I wasn't the one that paid for it) and #2 on a very good fansub.

#1 was in Anamorphic widescreen from what I remember, which made the animation a bit fuzzy from time to time. I think that contributed a little bit to my dislike. But still, I'm happy that these are now coming out on R1 DVD format.

Now, I just wish they'd release the series a little faster. Anime catgrin + sweatdrop
