This show perplexes me. I love the trailer. The weird, wiry, asymmetrical mecha design looks great and I like the old school feel of the battles. But given all the ecchi rumblings I'm hearing about it I feel like I've gotta keep my hopes low.

And here I naively thought this was one kiddie robot show, similar to Gundam Build Fighters. But apparently... not so much.

It just does. Even serious shows will have bishoujo eyecandy. Looking forward to upcoming Dai Shougun too.

What little of the character design we saw in the trailer, looked great, but the mechs looked horrible. The city didn't look that well either.
Really, did they spend their budget on the character design, or is the mech design supposed to be some form of comedic relief. Lot of people complaining on YouTube that Funimation did the old 'bait and switch' thing with the trailer. The show better come prepared with action and comedy, cause the visuals aren't there in the trailer, except for one 2 second character flash over. |
