We don't care about a FFX or X, lets play dress up, 2! We want Final Fantasy 7 folks!
I really don't see why this is such a hard concept. FFX had very good graphics IMO and though I am sure a HD remake will look beautiful We really need an HD remake of 7 which had very poor graphics in areas but amazing story. Am I alone here? Is the world really calling for FFX over 7? Last edited by Lowlife187 on Fri Mar 07, 2014 2:53 pm; edited 1 time in total |

That's quite a sloppily produced "commercial". If they aired that on TV, it would get naught more than a sideways glance. Considering the trailers they've done in the past, they can do much better than this.

10 was much better then 7, 7 wasn't even that good.. Highly over rated and just plain irritating now. |

Square-Enix fired nearly all of their western PR and marketing people about a year ago, which is why their advertising has been such a train wreck lately. The J-Pop laden FFX-2 commercials they made in the 2000's were way better than this, and did Lightning Returns even get a TV commercial? |

Speak for yourself. I love X and am very happy with a HD version.
Either way the answer is simple. An HD upscale(with some extra work) is a much easier product then making a brand new main line FF, which is what a HD Console remake of VII would basically be. |

QFT. I'd much rather get a new 6 before 7, anyway. |

Seven was pretty weak, but that's why I'd like a reboot. So they can fix the stuff they never had a chance to get right the first time around. Like, I dunno, an actual ending?

That's dumb. There are things that could definitely afford to be fixed up in FF7 but the open ended conclusion is not one of them. And besides, you've already got Advent Children if you're really that desperate for a definitive conclusion. |

While I did love VII, X was definitely my favourite, IX was my second favourite, VII would have to be my 3rd favourite. Imo it's not as great as it's hyped out to be, it just has a massive fanbase. I do understand the reasons why SE is so against the idea of a VII remake too, so at the moment I'm not so bothered about it.
I'm pretty excited for the X,X-2 HD release though! Can't wait to reply them on my vita. |

ikillchicken: Sorry, but that ending is bs. And Advent Children doesn't exactly answer what happened in-between.

You don't speak for me. X-2 is one of my favorite games in the series. It's fun, fast, sexy, and silly, which I love. X I'm not too big a fan of, but it's fine. I'm tired of all these people screaming for a remake of 7. Yeah, it'd be cool one day, but it's hardly something Square should focus entirely on or in some peoples words need to do. I'd rather play new games than old ones myself. |
