The history of this project and company is a little bizarre, I think. Supposedly these were supposed to be out in 2012, with 3,000 orders, but this Amazon listing wasn't put up until Dec 2013. So either they had excess stock last month or... never delivered their previous orders in 2012?
I also assume that the Patlabor studio bought their unit(s) from the company directly, and considering they already have them painted and ready to go, they likely bought them prior to the Amazon listing? Still, I want one. |

There are fans with serious cash to burn. At the cost of 1.3 million US dollars, that leaves them having a long time to be paying off a loan for a Mecha sculpture.
Hopefully, the company will be able make new version with better engine to move faster to be able drive them practically in traffic. |
