Sounds pre-planned if everyone was waiting for a specific word.

Twitterverse typically put more stock in spontaneous since it captures a moment how people coincidentally thinking the same thing.

But the odds that 180,000 people would all spontaneously tweet the same word in the exact same second are extremely low.

Furthermore, the previous two such events with Laputa were both pre-planned:

So yeah, it is pretty obvious that the mass "Jaeger!" tweeting for the Linked Horizon concert was pre-planned.

Ah well, it'd have been nicer if spontaneous.

Anyways, it'd automatically be the same word when it's the same hashtag, such as back when Beyonce showed she's pregnant made the Tweeter record. Though it didn't say whether "Jaeger!" was at the exact same time (only "during"), while "balse" was.

I'm sure some people spontaneously tweeted but it was pre-planned.

Tweets such as this were floating around: https://twitter.com/sakusakususan1/status/417961166846316544

This tweet afterwards made me laugh: https://twitter.com/kinpira_tako/status/417980463412965376
"To those who just tweeted 'Jaeger,' an [NHK] employee will be coming around later to collect the broadcast fees."

In Japan, any household that has a TV is supposed to pay broadcast fees to NHK but many people ignore them.

I'd love to ignore them, now that the collectors can't see my TV... But the guilt... It aches...

Haha, I don't feel guilty. I rarely watch NHK (or TV in general) and the one NHK program I used to watch (MAGnet) is over now so yeah, no guilt. It's not like they can force you to pay. Just don't open the door. =P My only mistake before was opening the door before checking who was there since I get a lot of packages and assumed it was the delivery man. I always check now.

It's always a party when AoT is around. I would really like to see this concert to see how it all went down.
