No way are you kidding me?! He was easily the most talented person they still had on staff. HUGE setback for Square Enix. Now I guess it's Nomura designing everything again. That's how it kind of goes for them though, really hard time retaining quality talent.

I wonder what exactly lead to the break. I'm not sure exactly how much influence lead to the break, but SE has been declining for quite a while now. The heyday of them making great jrpg's consistantly has gone. Now it's so much straight up fanservice games (like Theatrhythm) and iphone crap.
