I don't know where else to put this, but I just wanted to tell that the information on this article is partly misinterpreted/outdated.
Yamibun didn't say there were going to be marines, the marines comment was part of another conversation. The tweet this article is referring to is a reply to some other tweet, but because that tweet was removed the context of the marine comment disappeared as well. Yamibun tweeted 19 hours ago this clarification https://twitter.com/yamibun/status/389754173152976896 He says: "The comment about marines has nothing to do with Strike Witches, but at the very least, I would wish you to see the comment it was referring to" |

It means it'll be about another JFW/squad. Going by the name of the new series, it'll most likley be about a JFW/Squad in the Nordic regions.
But I have no idea if it is one that already got covered in the LN's/manga. But I have no doubt that it'll be a new story and that it will have new characters(although that depends on the JFW they pick).
Why is that?

... So the Third season may be a Pacific front or some similar nonsense? Or Suzuki trying to say the Third season reboot doesn't mean the series with the "known character-types" people want to see won't get continued eventually, no, we'll get all new characters, with probably the same traits, in a new setting for now?
Woo - can you fell my excitement? - hoo. I think the "franchise" is lightweight but I like the voice actresses/characters they have now. What happened, ran out of ways they could do character episodes without advancing some sort of alien/war/any plot? |
