I'm thinking the same. It depends on the pace, but I think 25 episodes should be enough to cover the Winter Cup all the way through the semi finals and stop with a cliff hanger right before spoiler[Seirin vs Rakuzan/Teikou arc]. Then next year they can work with whatever else Fujimaki comes up, which, apart from that, should include spoiler[Shuutoku vs Kaijo in the match-up for third place] |

Even with spoiler tags available, I kind of didn't write the future match-ups in my post for a reason, but anyway. =x
I think the second season should move at a faster pace than the first since while there are still some new characters to come, the major players have mostly been introduced. I do hope we'll get through to the semi-finals. |
